It’s hard to believe week two of the Tour de France is already over.
And what a wild week it was.
From the drama of two-time Tour winner Jonas Vingegaard crashing out and a controversial 2 a.m. doping control test, to a resurgent Remco Evenepoel taking arguably the biggest win of his career aside from the Olympics in stage 15, there was so much to absorb.
For both journalists and fans of the sport, there is no worse sight than seeing a former champion of Le Tour exit the race in such a painful fashion. The DNF is a huge blow—not to mention it’s the first Grand Tour non-finish of Vingegaard’s career.

Meanwhile, young French sensation Paul Seixas (Decathlon CMA CGM) landed on his first Tour podium in week two, dethroning Juan Ayuso (Lidl-Trek) from the white jersey by three seconds after stage 14. Seixas-mania keeps growing.
There is so much more to come in week three, and we cannot wait.
