I recently published an article arguing that the future of road bike groupsets belongs to 1x. My colleague Logan Jones-Wilkins is currently working on a counterpoint, and we will be debating the merits of both setups on the Velo podcast next week.

Everyone has an opinion on this, and we want to hear yours. When you look at modern groupsets, what is the single most important feature to you?

You will notice price is absent from the poll below. Obviously, budget plays a huge part in most purchasing decisions, but every manufacturer has tiers that are priced to directly match the competition. Campagnolo, Shimano, and SRAM each produces a top-tier groupset that costs roughly the same amount, with equivalent lower-priced tiers matching up down the line.
