The 2026 Leadville 100 MTB race was claimed by two former winners, with Keegan Swenson taking his sixth win and Melisa Rollins winning her second. After years of Leadville bikes stretching the limits of the mountain bike confines, 2026 saw a return to the conventional with Life Time banning drop bars at their mountain bike events. The winners’ bikes were prime examples of this, as both of the two winning rigs are consummate modern full-suspension cross-country bikes.
Keegan Swenson was aboard his custom rainbow-painted Specialized Epic 9 for the first time in competition, complete with a full slate of SRAM, RockShox, and Roval componentry. Rollins was on her newly painted Liv Pique Advanced SL with the stars and stripes to celebrate her recent US Marathon National Title. She too is a SRAM/RockShox athlete, with finishing components from Zipp and Continental.
